im currently designing a 200mm traffic light using LEDs, and i need to place them in series and parallel formation so that even if 1 of the LED is spoiled the others will be still working, issit possible to make the needed current to be 2A coz im actually using a solar panel to power up the traffic light. How many LEDs will i need in a 200mm traffic light and wad are recommendations of LEDs. Thanks in advance to all the pros

 

We also need voltage, and the specs of the LEDs to be able to start. I assume you're going to have red, yellow, and green. Sounds a bit expensive.

My city is pretty big and has replaced every traffic light with new ones having LEDs. They say they will save a fortune since they won't need light bulbs replaced and the power use is much lower and cheaper.

Many people say they are too bright. I see one turn red miles away and I put on the brakes.

The pedestrian signals have an LED countdown timer so they can see when to run.
