I know this thread is older now, but I ran across it again by accident and just had an experience that strongly relates to this context.
We talk about 'ai' a lot here, and it's probably because more and more people are using it, even though some people don't like it.
Well, now I am seeing a crummy trend: people are using it to write their product reviews. That really helps to muddy up the review waters. Now we get these great sounding reviews that are long and sweet, and also hard to believe. That's a shame because reviews are already hard to decode into truth vs falsity.
