I dont seem to have the option to send private messages. Is it because I'm new, with only a few posts?

Seems strange that you can't send a PM. Did you receive one when you joined? I did.

 

I did receive a welcome message from jrap. I can reply to that one, but i see no option to start a fresh one.

 

Click on the name of your target member.

Select "Start a conversation".

 

Look at the top menu bar. Click on your user name at top bar.

Select conversations. Then click on Start a conversation at the top.

Edit: Or select inbox on top menu bar........then click start a conversation.

 

Click on the name of your target member.

Select "Start a conversation".

Here is what I see when I click a members name, no start conversation option.

We take PM capability for granted. The Raspberry Pi forums disabled PM's because they thought it could be abused. Apparently you have to post your email address to do a transaction in their For Sale area...
