Somehow stuff knows when lots of people are watching and the presentation is extremely important! It may work perfectly dozens of times during testing but when all eyes are on it, nothing works right!

Now that Xerox's "crucial project detector – initiate failure" circuitis is off patent, this happens more and more.

I love how they were ready with a screen to block the view when something went wrong— and then messed up its deployment.

Clearly they should have hidden the vodka while waiting to go onstage.

Where's OSHA?
Being ignored. I have an inlaw who owned a roofing company. His workers were not allowed to set up safety rails and clip in as required by OSHA. He lost the company after one of his workers fell into a vat of bubbling hot tar.

Most models are considered independent contractors (for decades just like strippers) under the Fair Labor Standards Act. They need to sue themselves if something goes wrong.

I have gone to many trade shows. I enter as early in the morning as possible. They let presenters in hours early. I want to get everything working long before the public enters. I have seen a neighboring company having a panic. I remember several times where some company packs everything up and leaves minutes before the public enters.
