I would like to get a better understanding of analog design, pre-amp design in particular. Looking for any recommendations for online resources to help understand the topic. JFETs vs Op-Amps, important performance parameters , example circuits, etc..

Did a quick Google search for information on pre-amp designs. Didn't really find anything too quickly.

Low noise, enough headroom. It isn't op-amps OR jfets. Plenty of good, low noise, op-amps have jfet inputs.
