Why the capacities of stabilizers and UPS are quoted in VA and kVA?
What is the relation between VA and watt?

Stabilisers UPS Transformers, are all rated in VA or KVA,to state how much current times its voltage should be consumed. What it means is while a device(non-resistive) is connected and draws 1 amp at 100volts the WATTAGE is 100 ,but being non-resistive there is some reactive current, which is wasted-the amount depends on the power factor of the cct.Wattage =VxA xpf. If pf= 0.9 VA=100/0.9=111 VA.
