Hello, a few days ago I've purchased a Klarstein Silent Vino 12 (model 10046574). It's advertised as a silent 39dB wine cooler, and indeed the only thing you can hear are the outside fans. All the time. I've expected them to shut off once the inside temp stabilised, but they run 24/7, even when letting the inside temp drop to 12C and then setting the unit to 15C so that the TEC doesn't have anything to do and the rear heatsink is cold to the touch. Attached are some pictures of the board, it's an ADX-729 that I cannot find online, only the ADX-728 is everywhere.

Now on the ADX-728/ADX-001 boards the two white 2pins in the lower left are labeled as "external fan", do you think it might be worthwile trying to move the fans there?

Another course of action might be getting a 18V->12V step-down and exchanging the tiny loud 90mm fans with some silent 140mm PC fan(s) of which I have heaps lying aroud at home.

Update: the top two fan connectors are at fixed 12V all the time, while the lower-left two are variable 0-18V based on the current TEC/cold-side power. I've just replugged the fans into the TEC-governed connectors for now and the winecooler is basically inaudible under normal conditions.
