I built a variable PWM and drive circuit. It works very well using a 100watt bulb as a load. I want to drive a 90vdc PM brushed motor @ 8 - 10 amps. I have all the components on one board, 12vdc PS, FWBR and PWM. The 12vdc power supply and FWBR both fed by 115ac mains must share the common DC ground. Can this be right ? I know the spikes and transients this motor can produce. What is the best way to protect the PWM ? I`ve added the 10k res. and schottkey but what do you do about the source/ground ? This is an issue ? Right ? all advice and criticism welcome
