I am working on a project that requires regulating 1.8V but requires Zener diode to be of large wattage (> 1.5W). There is no such single Zener diode availalbe on the market, and thus Ihave been thinking whether it is OK to put 4 pieces of 500mW Zener in parallel. Would this give the total wattage of an equivalent 2W Zener diode ?

you can also use 2 1w zeners in parallel if available.
