Yeah..woudnt even try that..A short circuit doesn't have a phase angle. If one voltage meets another voltage with a different phase angle......the result can be much worse than a short circuit. It can be double worse.
It all depends on the angles.
You can see this in an intense manner when putting a generator on line.
The phase difference will be equal to the number of degrees the generator rotor shaft will try to rotate....instantly....when you flip the switch....so be careful.
This can turn a generator into a spherical ball of high velocity shrapnel.
