Example, 5 transformers parallel together on the primary side. Each transformer needs 80uf pf cap.

First method, one cap at the primary of each transformer close as possible.
Second method, One big 400uf cap on the output of the relay that switches the mains power to the 5 transformers.

would one method be better than the other. Don't care about surge through relay, just an example.

Thanks, did not think it mattered any, just easier with one cap and one connection. And the cost, your right, that was as I had a single in stock, rather than buy 5 80's Thanks again.
