power dissipated on capacitor

Good morning to everyone, I would like to know how did they calculate the power consumed by the supply voltage in this document.
I mean I don't understand how this formulas come out. Thanks.

You just need to go through the formulas for the fundamental relationships:

The charge transferred in and out of the capacitor is Q = C*Vpp
Since the capacitor is being charged and discharged each cycle, the current drawn from the source is then
I = f*Q
(current is charge transferred per second).
Substituting gives
I = f*C*Vpp
The power drawn from the supply is
P = Vb * I
Substituting gives
P = Vb*f*C*Vpp
(Q.E.D.)
