Hello,

The possible typo,
Vol. III > BJTs > Biasing Calculations > Emitter-bias, calculations, 1st set,
Shouldn't that read,
Vbb-Vbe=Ie((Rb/β)+Re)
Parentheses in the wrong place ?

On the same page > Voltage divider bias, calculations,
Can you tell me the meaning of the " f " term ?
Maybe I'm missing the obvious. I need new glasses anyhow.

Thanks,

Wayne

Line 4 above is the equation in question. The IE should be outside of the first parenthisis as it was factored out of terms #2 and #4 in the 3rd line.

I will fix image 03488.eps , the source and upload 03488.eps and 03488.png (which AAC uses) to ibiblio. Once AAC updates the image, this error will no longer be visible in the above image.

Thanks Wayne for pointing out the error

Hey Everyone,

I got new glasses. I see on one point my eyes weren't failing me, the equation fault was acknowledged and will be taken care of.

The new glasses have let me see more clearly. I have found the " f " term.

Thank You for correcting the error. Thank You for getting me to get new glasses.:)

Thanks again,

Wayne
