Which is the old speaker im taking the battery fromphoto 5.jpg the battery i will be usingphoto 1.png specs for the xs 3000...photo 2.png xs-3000...]photo 3.jpg the plug and volt info. For xs 3000. I need your guy's help. I bought a xs-3000 portable speaker a few weeks ago. And it seems its not so portable. Its not a rechargeable. So i want to add a 12v 7ah battery that i got from an old ion block rocker speaker that i have. I know nothing about electrical. I posted the pictures of the specs for both speakers so you guys can see what it is i need to do to make it work..... What i was thinking is hooking up the battery to an inverter and just connecting the power cord to the inverter from the speaker....... Fyi i still have all the parts from the old ion. Incase i need any of that.... Please let me know what i need to do and buy.

Your battery only has a capacity of 84 watt hours and you want to run a 1500 watt amplifier from it. Even if the amplifier was 100% efficient and the battery provided it's rated 7 AH it would only power it for 84/1500 hour = 0.056 = 3.36 minutes. Even if it was a class D amplifier it would probably only be about 85% efficient at best. Also the battery would not be able to supply the current of over 125 amps that would be required.
You would need a generator or 2KW inverter and several large truck batteries.

He wants to run an amplifier that is rated for 1500 watts, and it isn't clear if that is its RMS rating or some fake, "instantaneous high frequency peak" output.
Second, music typically has peaks of 10X the average power.
Third, I doubt he wants to run 150 watts continuously.
Each of those three options could possibly amount to dividing the real power use by a factor of ten.
I think, realistically, the end number would be about 30W RMS, but there are many guesses left to be resolved by the Thread Starter.
