ok first off hello everyone glad to be here...im as fresh ass a shaved tailed louie.no offence its accually my name..but here goes.This is the set up im tryn,bought these on e-bay plz don't say it.wife allready did.these are the trans i selected if right cool if not ?selection help plzzzz? 60W 6V+6V Toroid Transformer for both boards for fillement..or singleTRANSFORMER 115VAC 6.3VCT 1A ...Avel Y236750 330VA 25V+25V Toroidal Transformer1?...68W+68W +Speaker Protection Audio Amplifier Board?1...voltage AC 28V-0-28V 200W+AC 6.3vto8v?... and Pre-AMP Amplifier KIT Tube 6N2 srpp 6V~9V 30W

i plan on putting these 2 boards together make an intergrated amp..ill post my project as i go pics n all...hope to use plexi glass and alumnium any help ill appreciate...wow i gotta read the sticky on attachements

 

Why use vacuum tubes to cause distortion when the ICs have extremely low distortion?
Is it for a guitar fuzz circuit?

The LM3886 is an excellent amplifier IC. I don't know what the distorting vacuum tube is for.

Isn't the circuit a stereo amplifier since it has two LM3886 amplifier ICs?
Then 2 units are you going to use together?

 

yes i plan on putting them both together and adding gain for even more distortion just experimenting in guiitar amps do you think my xformers are ok? thks again for takin interest

 

You showed two or three amplifiers. I don't know which one you are talking about.

 

sorry bout that its this one.is 115 vac 330VA 25V+25V ok?i figure its plenty for 8 ohms and for fillamet heater i planned on this one 115VAC 6.3VCT 4A my house current is 110 to 120 spike but i plan to use an IEC Receptacle with 6 amp EMI filter and fuse holder.the the preamp pcb is for for my other guitar amp or head phones havent decided yet Tube 6N2 srpp 6V~9V 30W it actually works well warms it up some what nicely but would be better with better xformer hence the 6.3 vct 4A tranny would you agree?it has onboard power supply dc rectified. man still reading taken a lesson from electrical circuits review i gotta brush up school was25 years ago here i ago again p.s ill keep short next time and tks again...

 

The LM3886 produces 50W into 8 ohms with your 25VAC + 25VAC transformer.

 

yeah figyured that out after takein afew more lessons in xformer at least now i know how to build one. this site is very usefull for learning i appreciate that. a little searching goes a long way, good vids too tks for takein time to encourage me i think im going to enjoy this hobby.... wers dat bleed carbon rod ...cold fusion next? perhaps...power the shed...are you thinkin wat im thinkin ?
