I always pay attention to the opening and closing paragraphs of novels and reports.

The guy who wrote the Lorri's report should be publicly commended for being a sober (and precise!) writer:

It has operated successfully in flight, and its performance is completely nominal. It will obtain the first high resolution imaging observations in the Pluto system and at one or more additional Kuiper Belt objects.

I liked that (and even Stephen King would).

This thread will be long-lived... hopefully... :)

Anyway, New Horizons' next destination is getting nearer. It's too bad that the New Scientist's article is restricted. I've always wanted to buy a subscription, but they're so darn expensive!
