Hi,
Let me first start to say the question isn't so much about the ICL7107 but it's more about the power that supply's it

My power to the ICL7107 will be +5v -5v and 0v. What will happen if i remove the 0v line. Will the ICL7107 still function in some way or will it completely turn off.

Thanks for answering my question.

Looking at the 7107 datasheet, I'd bet if you remove the 0V line it wont work. 0V is connected to pin 21 GND and it is not optional. But for the 7106, the LCD version of 7107, pin 21 is connected to backplane of the LCD and there is no GND required. Just a 9V battery connected to V+ and V-.:D

Hi,

I don't need a datasheet for the question i was asking. I wasn't asking anything about the ICL7106, but i was able to figure this out all by myself on the test bench, so i'm ok now.

Thanks for the reply anyway.
