Hi,

I bought this amplifier from Dubai where they have 220 Volts (with 50Hz cycles) but i'm now moved back to Canada where it's 110V (with 60Hz cycles) electricity. The unit does have the voltage selector to select the voltage like 220V-240V and 110V-120V and i'm using 110V-120V.
I have chosen both 110v and 120v but the fuse keeps blowing for some reason. i'm using 3.15 amps glass fuses as always and as recommended. I have attached the service manual and the diagrams as well. some help please.

there are 2 fuse slots .. am i suppose to use 6.3amp for 110-120 volts instead of 3.15amp fuse ?
am i suppose to use 2 fuses instead of one ?

I was looking at the wrong spot in one of your first pictures and thought I only saw one fuse.
The transformer has two primary winding, that are driven in series for 240 volts, and in parallel for 120 volts. In the 120 volt mode, it appears each primary is fused separately. Therefore, you need to install two 3.15 amp fuses.

Two 3.15A fuses and on 110V/120V they share the current - one for each primary. With only one fuse fitted it is likely to blow.

i already tried by putting 2 fuses of 3.15a in both slots with 110/120 selection and still blows up.
should i try 2 fuses of 6.3A in both slots and try turning ON ? i haven't tried it yet just to be safe.

Both fuses blow? There may be an issue with the voltage select switch and/or the transformer primary winding.
Try this: Replace both fuses and set the voltage selector back to 240 VAC. Unplug the unit, but turn the on-off switch on. Set your ohmmeter to its lowet range, and short the leads together. Note/post the reading. Measure/post the resistance between the power plug prongs. Now switch to 120 VAC and measure/post again. These are going to be low values, so make sure you are getting good contact on the power plug prongs.
