I am just starting my journey on electronic repairs at age 54, so I am a total noob. I have Pioneer DJM 500 that I'm trying to work on. It is a US model and has black ribbon cables that go into white clips. The connectors look like they are held by a small clip on the sides and looks like they can come off. But I've tried pushing those clips in with a small screw driver but it doesnt release the connector. They seem to be different ribbon cables to what is in the DJM 600. Do you think these can be unclipped? Anyone have experience working on a DJM 500? Thanks in advance.
