Hi,

I have a machine (AC 220v 50Hz) that I want to control its operation:
- I want the machine to start by entering a special pin code generated through sms.
- Every time the pin code should change randomly ,so to start the machine again you have to request a new pin code.
However, I can not figure out what was the name of this system which I am sure it is already in use in many places!
Any ideas?

Are you hoping to find an off the shelf solution or something?
Typically this would be implemented as custom microprocessor code created as needed..
I doubt you will find anything off the shelf to perform those exact requirements..

Yes, I am trying to find something which might come off the shelf if possible, as I remember I encountered something similar in self-service machines, like car wash and vending machines..

And those machines probably had custom firmware to accomplish the needs...

I believe the term you are looking for is "rolling code" or "rolling password" or similar..
And usually that term is intended to be used with a remote where the actual IR code changes to prevent people from sniffing that code out of the air and opening your garage door,etc..

But I still don't think that this would be an off the shelf solution given the details provided above..
But its very simple to implement if you knew coding or hired a programmer to do what you want..

 

These are certainly available. All of the big box construction materiel supply stores have them on their various machines that they use for ripping and other material prep. Maybe visit one and see if you can get a name off of a control panel? They usually have a fixed panel but I bet the same manufacturer would offer a cell phone solution.
