Last semester I had been learning about PID and modeling systems and wondered if I need to model every system I develop or I can apply some test on the system and with this test, I can define the model, if can say a book or online class on youtube it will be very useful.

 

You need to model every system.

 

Self-tuning algorithms can be helpful (unless you have an unusual system thst does not behave inside the envelope that the algorithm creator considered when building the self-tuning code).
