Down here we have a saying that goes: "There are two great days in the ownership of a boat: the day you buy it, and the day you sell it ... "

Dang, that looks like my old AMF Slickcraft 235. I had to haul it away as no one wanted it for cash or free! I can't help but wonder just how the heck it was cut in thirds. That's one big saw!

I think the sheriff's river patrol cut it up to be sure that thing never hits the water again. The Homeless from Portland are trying to spawn up-river.

Ahhh... Back in the 90, there was a fenced in lot at the local airport completely filled with multiengine cigarette boats. No trailers, just boats piled up and all upscale offshore racers with racing engines in them. Found out that it belonged to the federal boys over at FLETC (federal law enforcement training center) and it was their "scrap pile" of boats sent up from Miami to see of there was anything they could put together out of it for their Riverine Patrol course they have here. But! They had gaping holes all over the hulls from where they had cut out looking for the drugs being smuggled into Miami. They were able to piece a few together after a guy I knew repaired and glassed them. They had a 56' Bayliner that they would chase from offshore into the sounds if they could find it.

Drove into Portland to get the girl back to school after spring break.

The doom loop continues.

The last KOHL'S in Portland is history.

They might have some good storage systems or shelving to buy for cheap.

What down the street here?

The Gilligan Island RV park on the streets of Portland?

Nice boat!

Looks like the Bates Motel has seen better days.

But, the tavern is still open.

It's how you get the wife to approve spending on your home engineering projects. It's got to have a roof to keep the trash cans from getting wet, right?
