You had noise-canceling tech with you back in the 90's? ... or did you just wear earplugs?I discovered this "trick" way back in the '90s.

The first Bose came out around '89. My "discovery" was mid 90s. I don't remember what brand I had.You had noise-canceling tech with you back in the 90's? ... or did you just wear earplugs?
It was just the cookies, the rest of the food was great. After years of flying in USMC crash magnets called helicopters, commercial aircraft noise doesn't register on the senses.About those lame cookies. I read an article a while back saying that airplane food doesn't taste so well mainly because the aircraft's noise messes with our sense of smell and taste ... so next time I had to fly I wore noise-cancelling earphones and whaddayaknow! ... the taste of things improved significantly.

Ah. So you've gone deaf. After years of flying in USMC crash magnets called helicopters, commercial aircraft noise doesn't register on the senses.
Nope, my last hearing test was normal (with typical female voice range reductions for my age) . I learned how to tune out background noise as military communications operator. Your brain can be trained to ignore very high levels of noise while still detecting intelligence (people talking). Mental compatibilization was something we practiced until you could 'hear' signals in one ear, have a conversation with a person with the other ear, while typing the copy.Ah. So you've gone deaf.

Those things were quite the luxury back then ... I couldn't afford mine until the late 2,000'sThe first Bose came out around '89. My "discovery" was mid 90s. I don't remember what brand I had.
my turn to hate you back, buddy ... nice pics!Google auto generated Pano's from my manual photo sweeps.

From the back of the truck.
I remember when that town was really a redneck backwater. My dad took the boat Bass fishing around there.

Day 2 of tour was Austin, TX. Unfortunately, I have no postable photos.
How come? This tour is my first experience as a rodie.
Because I've never been a roadie before. How come?
Ok, let me see if I understand. You're working as a roadie (notice the different spelling) for the band you've pictured?Because I've never been a rodie before.
Yes, a roadie. I don't have my reading glasses with me and "rodie" seems to get typed when I use swipe entry on my Android. I didn't notice, sorry.Ok, let me see if I understand. You're working as a roadie (notice the different spelling) for the band you've pictured?
Is one of your kids playing in that band?
Nice! ... wish I could hear them play, though ... what does your daughter play? ... would it be possible for you to share a video link or something?Yes, a roadie. I don't have my reading glasses with me and "rodie" seems to get typed when I use swipe entry on my Android. I didn't notice, sorry.
Yes, it's my daughter's R&R tour.
I'm one of the parent chaperones.
She's plays bass (her primary skill), keyboard, and she sings.Nice! ... wish I could hear them play, though ... what does your daughter play? ... would it be possible for you to share a video link or something?
understood ... if there's one thing I thoroughly respect, is people's right to privacy ...I'd love to share, but that's not possible here.
