I work at a High School on the point of a peninsula into Boston Harbor. From “land” it takes me 20 minutes to drive out to it. There is an island in the harbor upon which expensive condos were built (think a million plus). This picture was taken from the peninsula at sunset.
How is it that there is a high school on extremely valuable land?

The point is too small for any commercial or housing development. The school building is literally less that 50 feet from the ocean on three sides. It’s a small HS. There are about 360 students in four grades TOTAL.

What a cool place to go to school ;) How do the teachers keep the attention of the class? I would be looking out the window all day. ;)

Everything's lost ... :(
It's bad, but they're now saying the main structure has been saved. Much of the structure is stone, after all. But yeah, it's bad.

They say that Jesus's crown of thorns is stored there, along with many other artworks and such. (Most religious relics are not genuine, but anyway.)

The closest fire house must have been in Belgium. I here it took 2 hours for firetrucks to arrive.

Shirley, that can't be true.

Solar observation!

Top: My photo using an EOS 7D Mark II with EF70-200mm ƒ/2.8L IS II USM lens, Extender 2x III, and a combined 17.5 stops of filter including a Lee Big Stopper 10-stop 100mm filter, a Breakthrough Photography 6-stop 77mm threaded filter, and a the Lee 100mm circular polarizer. The focal length is an effective 640mm, it was shot at ƒ5.6 and 1/640s with ISO 320. If I did it again, I'd probably drop the 6-stop because 11.5 should be enough and I could get a little less noise.

Bottom: The latest HMI Intensitygram from NASA showing current sunspot activity.
