Really, engineering electromagnetics? At the beach? I bet that book proved to be a real chick magnet.
This is Oregon not California. (yet) It might be if the idea I have works for a new type of 3D interface that's possible with a new type of controller module. It's all hush-hush stuff for now.

Excuse me if I made your internet stutter a bit ;) These are some pictures taken from my ancient yet not prehistoric phone so please forgive the hipster filter which is bad resolution.
Anyways... I've been working this summer by planting trees first and foremost with some additional choir here and there.(This is what can happen if you've gotten old and aren't certified yet :() But it was fun and I got lot's of fresh air;)

This first one is taken about a month ago. It's a place 1 hour from the capital where we had gone to trim the forest 2-3 times this summer but when this was taken we were planting trees (Christmas trees to be exact) and I thought this would be the last time we'd be there this year. Oh and it was raining the camera just doesn't capture it very well, I was actually soaking were I was standing.

Fossá (Which means Waterfallriver...The imagination on the guy who named that:p) The waterfall is a bit further upstream and sorry guys I don't have any pictures of it.

This is first one in the series of pictures which I took today.
The trees at the root of the hill are the first one that were planted in this area in 1972-73. The concrete wall is an old
sheepshed that been torn 2/3rds down for some reason
Fossá 2.jpg

This is a month old picture taken on the same day as the first one from the same spot just facing upstream (it was still raining and no sign of that waterfall;))
Fossá 3.jpg
This was taken today from a moving car(like the four or five next pictures) It's the fjord where the "forest" is located and it is called Hvalfjörður which means Whalefjord...Another poet going bonkers in the naming department:p

Still in a moving car and still in Hvalfjörður.Hvalfjörður 2.jpg
About 30-20 minutes until we're back to Reykjavík. This is in Kjalarnes not sure what the mountain is named. The weather was good and I had a camera:D
Kjalarnes 1.jpg
5 minutes since the last picture still unsure of the name(s) of the mountain(s)Kjalarnes 2.jpg

The small juice dispenser just outside the capital;)
Mosfell 1.jpg

Metal giant just a kilometer from our base. Not many times that I've been that close up to one of them since none are in the city and most are far from any roads that are frequently used so I just had to snap a picture since I'd already started:)

My windsurfing gear in front of Lake Koshkonong in Wisconsin, in late July. The gear is on land because I was exhausted by crossing to the opposite shore and back in the stiff winds that day (from the west, left in the photo) and had made my way back to the beach with my last ounces of strength. I was recovering and sipping a cold beer when I took this shot.

Not very clear as I was with the wife and her friend picking herbal medicines on a hill with just my crappy tablet camera.

Moon rise near Mt. Hood on the day before the Super Blood Moon.

This picture is only interesting in that after I took it I was challenged by four Italian soldiers with automatic weapons. Apparently there was a military base nearby where photos are prohibited. They let me keep this one.

This is sort of a what were they thinking pic. That is a house on top of the hill somewhere in the Cento Valli in Italy. There is a ramp that goes to the house but I guess they wanted a short cut.

I always thought these looked like teeth. Somewhere between Innsbruck and Landeck, Austria

Probably the Carabinieri ... after all, you photographed an Italian Customs building.

We were told to stop immediately if they or the polizia raised that "lollipop" as the other can and will let loose with that automatic weapon.

Nope they were soldiers. And there was a military base nearby. I only snapped the border sign, that is why they let me keep the pic. Thank goodness for digital photos! But you are right, the Carabinieri are a bit wacky. I remember watching them racing their vehicle at a very high rate of speed through crowded streets of Genoa. People had to leap out of the way. But from what I understand, if you are in trouble, they are who you want to show up to help.
