i've been working on a pic18f2550 based usb gamepad..
having 6 axis.
i've done with both the software and the hardware..
the problem is 5 axis are working properly but 5th axis is not responding...


i've attached both the circuit and the source code..


there's a change in the circuit that i've connected 6 potentiometers to RA0 to RA5

potentiometer connected to RA4 is not responding..

Have you verified that the pot is good? Just use a multimeter to confirm it's OK. I know it's a silly notion, but it's always best to rule out the simple stuff first.

I'm way outta my comfort zone, but I can read. The datasheet shows that RA4 is not an analog input, so I'd guess that's the problem.
