I guess the rest of the world will have to celebrate some weeks later, on 31/4/15 at 9:26 instead :). Dang, no we can't; until someone adds an extra day to the month.

Hold the Alt key down. On the numeric keypad type "2", "2", "7" while continuing to hold the Alt key down. Then release the Alt key

π

Easy as ....well you get the idea.
It looks better in the entry box than it does in the final post.

oh. The number pad.
Fooled me!
I usually keep numlock off so I can use that delete key and ctrl++ for zooming.

For anyone who may be interested, you can check where your birthday or any other numeric sequence occurs in the first 2 billion digits of pi here: http://www.subidiom.com/pi/

The search statistics are not too surprising, except for the popularity of such searches from Finland. Cabin fever?

I like that site, we were just discussing how often some familiar version of pi (31415) shows up in a reasonable number of digits of pi.

31415 shows up 10 times in the first million decimal places (including the first one which this tool does not count).

The first 10 digits of pi do not repeat in those 2 billion decimal places. The first 9 digits do, after 1,660,042,75 places.

I think I read somewhere that NASA uses pi to 15 or 16 decimal places. I would have expected more, but then my math skills are weak.
