Hello all. I'm planning to start using the photo resist method of generating PCB's.

Would I be able to work with a darkroom safelight? I've read that one has to prevent any daylight at all so I am a bit wary of having to work with boards etc in total darkness.

Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks a lot.......JDR04

 

red lights are used as safety lighting.

 

The photo-resist boards I used only responded to UV wavelengths, and they needed 20 minutes in direct sunlight. I think you got some bad information. Why would anybody make a photo-resist board that is as sensitive as normal camera film??? Not for hobbyists!
