Anything rated to switch the DC current load of your cooler should do the job. That's probably all of those, but I didn't read every detail. What is the voltage and current needed by your cooler? How are you going to exhaust all of the heat? A peltier may make as much as 10 times as much heat appear on its hot side as it removes from its cool side. If you don't vigorously cool the hot side (usually with a fan and a big heat sink), the peltier will get too hot to cool, and possibly destroy itself.

The voltage is 12 volts 6amps The Peltier I have is already constructed with fans and a heat sink ,the hot side will be in open air inside a chicken pen the cool side will go into a box to keep the bird cool during summer (very expensive rooster) ....Here is a link to show what I have http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271659118664?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Oh good. I was afraid you were making your own. It'll be like keeping a rooster in a wine chiller!

Have you figured out the 12V supply yet? You might be able to find an old computer power supply, on its way to recycling, with enough juice to run that cooler.

Yes I have purchaced a few power supplies for odd jobs one of which is 10 amp so I was going to use that. The rooster box is actually 1 box inside another with an air space between to deaden sound it will operate on a timer and the door will automatically open at around 8-9am to save the neibours complaining :)

How about using a small swamp / evaporative cooler?
move some air to keep it fresh and keep him cool at the same time.
Is it dry heat where you are? I'm in Arizona. Needs to be dry heat to work.
I was going to have chickens here and was going to use one for the coop.
never did though, get eggs at the store. :-(

Most little ones are battery operated and the shape of them would make it difficult to fit :)
