PC interference

I was just wondering if there is a way to remove interference that my PC is causing to my regenerative receiver.

I have my receiver directly connected to my PC through speaker wire because I want to hear the audio through my PC.

Is it all the matter of the output filtering? or is it more involved?

What kind of interference are you talking about?

weird high-pitched sounds from my PC.

It happens when I type on the keyboard, or when I use my touchpad. and my PC is a laptop.

One of the joys of wide-open receivers is that every bit of RF manages to creep in. The ability to sharply tune (selectivity) is what makes single station listening possible. Superregen's just don't have the ability.

A super-regen radio has an AM detector. Most interference is AM. The super-regen also creates AM interference at its operating frequency.

An FM detector in an FM radio doesn't pickup AM interference.
