Pc fan electric generator

In every one of the instances shown or described, the PC fan is used as the "prime mover", which is not being used as a generator.. That is to state that the generated power is not coming through the wires that would feed power to drive the motor in the fan. So I see no problem as to credibility with that. The efficiency may be poor, but that is not part of the discussion.
And for MAX, the 3-phase voltage that might be produced by externally spinning a PC fan motor will probably not be available at the terminals that normally would power the fan, unless some internal modifications are done.

Question, if you remove the spinning ball, will you still induce a voltage in the coil?

If the answer is no, then….
Then, it isn’t.
The PC fan is only a prime mover which rotates the ball, whose rotation is the one which induces the voltage.
If I remove the spinning magnet the voltage induced in the coil is Zero.

This one is 100 % pc fan generator (I hope ) because is the same brushless pc fan motor connected to the sphere with a magnetic catch, this time the brushless motor is spinning the sphere.

Certainly attaching a sphere to the motor is a modification. AND spinning the sphere with the motor is using the motor as a source of mechanical power, not as a generator.

Great demo but this is basic, year one, freshman physics electromagnetism in action. There's nothing new or novel about it, so nobody will be 'hanged' for a simple 100yo magnetic induction demo.

But it is not using a PC fan as a generator. It is using the PC fan to spin a completely separate generator. You could just as well spin your magnetic ball with an electric drill or a hand crank with gearing. The ball and coil are the generator.

So the bottom line is, whether the motor stator and commutation exit the motor directly or not.
Note: A BLDC motor will generate a 3phase output when back fed.
As per my rider, noted on my first line!
