Hello Everyone,
Before I spend money on a new tv I was wondering if someone could give me some pointers.
I was watching tv with the family when lightening struck near my house. The screen froze, and when I powered everything off and then on again, the tv just cycles through like it's turning on and then off, the screen stays dark. Is this tv a lost cause?
It is a Panasonic THX SD HC Viera
Model TH-58PZ8004
An oldie but a goodie.
I've done the following according to another website:
Unplugged and then held the Power down manually for over 1 min.
Plugged in, then held down the power button down manually for 20 seconds (it sounds like it turns off, then when I release the power button it sounds like it's turning on).
Held down the Power button and the volume button at the same time (it sounds like it turns off, then when I release the power button it sounds like it's turning on). The screen did flicker briefly...
