hello everybody,

my panasonic television suddenly stopped working. i opened the back and tested the voltages. i am not getting any voltages on output. no standby voltage also. so i removed the power supply board. The board has relays to turn on the actual voltage.
Can we test the board without connecting other circuits i mean out of television? Can i troubleshoot the powersupply board out of the tv?

You can do limited testing. There are likely some feedback signals coming from off the board that will prevent full testing. But you can check the fuse and rectifier, and more. Do you have the service manual? It'll be hard to get far without it.

The one time my lcd monitor stopped working, it was a couple of bad capacitors on the power board. Do you know what to look for when looking for bad capacitors?

ya i repair computer smps and car amplifiers AB and class d type. so i have some idea of circuits. i am attaching the pictures of the board.
what i want to know is if there will be any standby voltage without connecting the board to the tv other circuits?

All the major parts are good. but the board had plenty cold joints. i corrected the joints now still there is no standby 5v on the output.

Not without a standby voltage. You need to find out why you don't have the +5V standby voltage.
Dear Sir,

I start to trace the 5v starting from the standby transformer. and when it comes to the smd part SM 5v disappeared. i have attached the drawing where i got 5v and where it end. i dont know what smd part is that. please help me. Thank you.
