We're about to add UV banks to our filtration system, I'm asked to name the electrical components.
I was wondering, what is the universal P&ID name for a Transmittance Analyzer?
Like, for example, a flowmeter will be FT-X or FIT-X, but what is it for a Transmittance Analyzer?

In this standards document, it appears that ”A” would be the first letter. It also appears that you have some flexibility in other element, but there is no specific “Transmittance Analyzer” requirement.

(3) Measured/Initiating Variable analysis [A] shall be used for all types of process stream composition and physical property analysis. The type of analyzer, and for stream component analyzers the components of interest, shall be defined outside the tagging bubble.
