overflow logic for DDS question for stm32f407

Hello,I am having truble to understand the formula shown in the first part of the article. which link is shown bellow.
We have a 16bit register(array) each Tp its value is increased by K,the larger numberfor the register is 2^16
so ovrflow time is =(2^16)/K*Tp

Then they show a diagram as shown bellow.
how to set the Tp for the increasing the value of the register?
