I'm currently working on making a boost converter to convert 7-18v output voltage of a solar panel to 18v DC. so the input of the boost converter is the solar panel.
i'm using Arduino UNO as a PID controller and i've already done the programming

MY PROBLEM: for choosing the components 1st i need to calculate the output current draw of the boost converter which i have no idea how.

how can i calculate the output current draw ? can somebody help me with this ? i've been searching the net for the answer for days and still got nothing

***the circuit schematic and the solar panel information are included in the attachments***

When operating at max. efficiency -20W, with boost just going along for the ride, cuts Ws down to 18 @ 18V = 1 A. into a load of 18 ohms?

Well the desired output V is 24V sry i couldnt edit the post , my bad...
And load is around 100 Ohms

Output power is the function of the load.

Consider this:

What is the output power of a 9 volt battery?
ZERO - unless we place a load on the battery.

Of course the MAXIMUM output power is a more complex issue.

Start by defining what load your system needs to power.
