The wiring is missing a 3rd or 4th wire for the data.Addressable LED's???
Wonder how to order a replacement - no part or model #The 5.5V solar panel has 11 segments of 0.5V each. The 8 LEDs have a yellow phosphor then are about 3.2V white LEDs.
The picture is not clear enough to determine if there's more than two wires. I could be wrong. Won't be the first time. The wiring is missing a 3rd or 4th wire for the data.
Pesky details. One of these things is not like the other.
Have you opened the unit up to check the battery? They are 2 different pieces, one on the left has been resolved thanks to comments rec'd. It's the one on the right that is being attempted now.
These are motion-detector-activated lights. The ones like it that I have have work quite well and have lasted a lot longer than landscape lights. I think that's mostly because they only stay on a short time after being triggered and so the batteries spend their lives mostly charged instead of mostly discharged. Maybe they're built a little better to begin with, but that's not obvious from the outside. What good is a solar light that points up and blinds you instead of pointing down where you are walking?
Cheap solar lights fail soon.
