I agree with you and Joey on this one. The ability to overcome setbacks is one of the most beautiful human traits ... but let's face it, realistically speaking, it is definitely not the same thing to play with 4 fingers on one left's hand than with 5
No. It's more impressive. Like a one-armed, very successful, drummer:...it is definitely not the same thing to play with 4 fingers on one left's hand than with 5

One of them in my link.
I’ll never tell
When I was 12, i went through mine witu a sewing machine. That was first time I exoerienced real shock - i fealt detached from everything and it was like my finger with thread sticjing through it was not mine. Was a strange experience. It is good to be young, no scars.Sorry to hear that Yaakov
As a kid around 9 I cut my right pointing finger nail in half right down the middle. Cut all the way up to the first knuckle and could see the bone inside. Can't put stitches in a finger nail.
Dude! Sorry about your injury! Count your blessings though! If it happened in Texas you could've bled out while the hospital's "ethics committee" weighed the blue bead to cost of treatment ratio! And that's not much of an exaggeration! Cripes! I'd like to say a lot more on that but some would call it politics, so ok.Trip to the ER, bleeding stopped. It hurts. I will probably have an ugly fingertip permanently.
I can relate to that! As our lifelong homes, we get used to our bodies. Even little unplanned changes can be jarring! Source: I'm an inveterate biker. Two wheels and no protection racks up the "mementos" over the decades!I must say, it's a psychological setback to an extent I wouldn't have expected. Oh well.

I don't get the reference? I was talking about Texas' infamous Advanced Directives Act, I only wish it was fictionAlso Watch M. Moores, Sicko.
Max.
So you prefer that the hospital only has to get a court injunction to be able to withdraw all treatment (including feeding tubes and hydration IVs) from a patient without any input from the family or give them any time at all to arrange transfer to a facility willing to give the treatment? That is, after all, when the situation was before the act was passed. What the act did was give the patient's family the right to be involved in the ethics board's review process, give them ten days to find a suitable facility willing to give treatment, as well as the right to request a extension from a judge to have more time to find such a facility. Also, only the treatment that is considered futile can be withdrawn, things such as food and water can continue. You don't believe the family should have these rights?I don't get the reference? Ah yeah! The family and the PATIENT'S advanced directives ONLY! Not the imperial wizards of the hospital's death panel or the courts! You don't believe the family should have these rights?
Also, only the treatment that is considered futile can be withdrawn
Futile is negotiable! It's all about the money! Check the stats!cost cannot be taken into account. It doesn't matter whether you are receiving indigent care or are a billionaire
Dude! I wouldn't doubt it for a second! So they've instituted a 10 day stay? How magnanimous.the hospital only has to get a court injunction to be able to withdraw all treatment (including feeding tubes and hydration IVs) from a patient without any input from the family or give them any time at all to arrange transfer to a facility willing to give the treatment? Yeah! Right! Check the facts man! "involved"? Wiggly words sheesh! What the act did was give the patient's family the right to be involved in the ethics board's review proces
