Oscilloscope Analysis of Alternator

Your first scope picture shows only about 100mV of ripple voltage. In my experience 500-750mV is usually the start of a bad diode. Are you chasing a particular symptom or concern? I always test amperage on a load tester when testing a battery. You'll typically see about a 1/3 drop in rated amperage per diode failure. What is your charging system voltage at idle and at 2000RPM ?
