Hi,
I just got a notice of this being moved to here, but I had forgotten all about it.

Anyway, this is quite old, but I did succeed in making my encoders.

The main reason for me making them, was the small size.
The RB suggested using a 9 gap disc, which when added to the 100:1 end of my motor, gave 3600 switches for one rev at the :1 end.

This is added to an antenna aimer on another thread.

Note: You can also get slot opto's with Schmitt trigger built in, OPB625.

I searched for THE_RB, as he had some interesting projects, but he seems to have disappeared.
