I've to find Vout(see the attachment) ... my professor says it will be zero and I'm not convinced.. any suggestions ???

 

No power is shown; bound to be zero. Try powering the op amps and give us your analysis of the circuit.

 

I assume it's due to the fact that opamp2 input is grounded. I would think there would still be an output myself though, but I guess the high impedance of the input is blocking all the current. Hopefully someone else can clear it up.

 

see..I discussed this question with my prof. in the classroom. He says the output is gonna be 0V and when I saw the solution manual of the book it says it should be 5/3 volts.
It's really confusing me.

 

The ground on the input of the second opamp trumps everything else. The output is zero.

That ground is also a short circuit on the output of the first opamp.

If that ground weren't there, then the output would be 5/3 volts.

No. The circuit is incomplete.
The output will always be 0V because the opamps are not powered and their part number is not shown.
