I never feared crowds until I wound up in the middle of one in downtown Mexico City during a New Years Eve celebration.

There were explosives (not firecrackers!) going off all around me. I honestly thought I was going to die.

So, you hailing from Mexico, I understand your fear of crowds.
I don't like Mexico City... at all ... although I have a few friends that actually love the place (how is that possible?), they say you can find practically anything you want regarding restaurants, museums and entertainment. Monterrey is an entirely different place, thankfully.

Just a classic case of a wandering decimal point.

Our algebra teacher would always warm us about that. I sat toward the front of the class the row next to the window. Blackboards in front, blackboards to the right, on the opposite wall across the room. One day a student was factoring a problem on the blackboards across from me. The teacher was standing next to the window. As the student wrote on the blackboard a small piece of chalk started tricking down the board. The teacher ran across the room, grabbed and eraser and SLAM right on to the little piece of chalk in a large cloud of dust. "See that! See that!" , he said, "It was a wandering decimal point! If I didn't get that thing it would have wandered right across the room on to Spinnaker's paper!"

When Valerie Gonzalez, 32, boarded JetBlue’s Flight 7 at Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Wednesday night, she allegedly got upset when she found out she was seated next to a child.

“I’m not sitting next to a (expletive) three-year-old, I’ve been drinking all day,” she said, according to her arrest report.
The three-year-old should be upset sitting next to a drunk acting two years old.
