So just for curiosity can somebody tell me why THIS THREAD was on top of General Electronics Chat forum even though last post was way over two years ago? So I can guess that a new post was just deleted but that usually sets everything back to where it was?

I'm not sure. I don't see a deleted post on the thread that would account for it. I'm pretty sure that liking a post in a thread doesn't bump it in the list, but I could be wrong.
