Since starting this thread I've become disillusioned at how easy it would be FOR ME. Besides, that DVR has been scrapped for components. But thanks for the link. Been looking at that and I have hope for the future of watching TV the way I want.
Basically there are a few shows I always miss because of the time they come on. Nice to be able to record each episode of "The Woodshop" and be able to go back and review some new cool trick or technique. Other shows that are rife with commercials, it's nice to pause the show while I tend to something important, like opening a bottle of UpDaug, come back and skip the commercials. And the news. I hate it when they say something and I didn't quite catch what was said. I can rewind it and pay closer attention to that weather girl with the really nice legs.
