A red LED is typically a 1.8v drop. The power supply is 3.3v. According to OHM's law, the current across the 225 ohm resistor should be 20ma. Why, in the following circuit, does it read almost 4 times less?

Nevermind, I drew the circuit diagram wrong. OHM's law has not been violated.

 

Tip: Current does not go "across" a component, it goes "through" a component. Similarly, voltage appear "across" components and not through them. You want to get in the habit of using the standard terminology -- it will make communicating with others much easier.
