I would be surprised if ASE, the group that certifies mechanics, didn't have an ethics policy. Of course if the shop doesn't have ASE mechanics, then ethics, other than personal ethics, isn't a problem.My point was here the car shops offer to do it for you. I'm sure dealerships follow the parking brake law, but most shops don't.
