No Vehicle Electronics?

An no one has ever bypassed any other "safety" devices or signals in a vehicle.
when i looked into them before for my car the guy at the store over here said "we have to fit it, because it needs to operate only when the handbrake is on, though we know people take that off, and youll probably do the same"
not as stupid as he looked.. ;)

My point was here the car shops offer to do it for you. I'm sure dealerships follow the parking brake law, but most shops don't.
I would be surprised if ASE, the group that certifies mechanics, didn't have an ethics policy. Of course if the shop doesn't have ASE mechanics, then ethics, other than personal ethics, isn't a problem.

The same conditions apply here. All those who hold certifications, membership, or professionial licenses are honor bound by their group's ethics. IEEE posted their ethics on their website.
