Anyone have access to a stash of Nixie tubes that are just taken up space? Eventually I want to build a clock.

My new neighbor tells me he had access to a huge stash at work. All never used spares. He retired about 6 month before I moved in an no longer has access to the tubes. :(.

Just a thought but call purchasing, explain the interest, and see if
they want to get rid of it.

Before they dump it.

Regards, Dana.

I've seen Nixie tubes on sale at EBay and Amazon. New old Soviet era stock, though I hear there are a few guys here and there making them again.

As these guys are basement operations making them one at a time by hand I would expect them to cost $$$.

Yes I have seen them on eBay and Amazon.

Maybe I need to get into glass blowing? ;)

I understand a number of antique radio hobbyists make their own tubes.
