I've played a bit with small OLED graphics screens using Arduino. Acts like a color LCD but apparently needs less power. May be the next "cell phone" tech to hit it big. I remember back when cell tech was just starting and reading about it in a weekly electrical engineering tech rag that got passed around our Project Engineering dept. and thinking "now that sounds interesting" and having no clue what would become of it in just a few years from then.

 

They make no mention on getting emissions of different colours. I wonder if that will be possible, just using copper based phosphorescent devices. The rare earth minerals they are currently using are to get the different colours.
