The first time I heard that, I wondered why the surgeon was describing the incision in terms of audio decibel meters.:D
---Emphasis added---
Thus it seems the rot has 'run full course' in Fla? -- Sad, sad days!!!:(:(:(

A millicoulomb as a milli-amp-second is a way to break down the math of the problem. My power supplies might deliver coulombs, but they are much easier to calculate if I use amps times seconds.;)
Whatever works, works:) -- I'm to tired to debate it:eek::cool:

Best regards

Cuz Worst AFL/CIO and Teamsters can do is give you _Hoffa treatment_ but calling that adjunct so called profession on their lesser training and privs could bring down full force of NNU on your head and word around is they're totally scarier than Teamsters:eek:!
>>>:D<<<

To be clear we're just having a bit of fun! -- The bona fide profession to which Aleph and I allude is all of integrally vital, competent, and dedicated!:)

And no! I'm not afraid of their union:rolleyes: -- But their pronunciation of centimeter? Well... that's as may be!;)

With utmost sincerity

Working with networked cinema servers we often talked about the hard drives and bus interface. SCSI, which I began pronouncing as "scuzi" sku-zee. Everyone else began saying it too.
Did I make a new word from a pronunciation of an acronym?
Or was I just doing a very human thing, and taking a shortcut in conversation between individuals who have identical jobs?
I really don't know if I was even the first person to say scuzi.

And on another note. I must say that I pride myself on the skill I display "bitchin' 'bout shit", but in the few years I've had the pleasure of getting to know everyone here, I've never learned more about the black arts of complaints than I have here.

and hope both of you take no offense in what is said about your language skills. It's not meant in that way, ever. It just amazes me how you two go from very technical and thesaurus-ly (new word there) into text speak without ever missing a beat. And my personality failing can't seem to stop me from bringing it up. Like I said before, my wife hates to go shopping with me because I do it right to peoples face, people I don't even know. You two have taught me new words I never knew existed and I'm grateful for that. And again I apologize if I upset you. I guess it's just a form of Turrets on my part.:)

My wife and I take great delight in pronouncing acronyms that have no generally accepted pronunciation. Heck, we know what we mean, it's up to you to figure us out.

So if I was to ask her to recharge the geepus on an us-bee jack so I can connect it to the TV on a hidmee...

Get my drift?*

I once worked, at a semiconductor manufacturer, with someone who pronounced HP-UX as H-pux. Everyone I knew at HP pronounced it by the letters: H P U X. It always annoyed me.

Indeed it is "very, very different" (said observation being my point!) said confusion owing to unabashed bastardization of convention (which, IMNSHO, being rather more than mere 'semantics') -- ergo my objection to:
HP ambiguity abt whether _per_ implies multiplication or division is nothing new! Cuz even your _electrical bible_ Audells and _new testament_ CRC handbook isn't consistent on that:rolleyes: So I say it really is just semantics! So I understand about consistency and how you say disambiguation of convention are good in the abstract but it's not working for at least last century so I agree with @WBahn that functional communication has to come b4 aesthetics!

HP it's like you're always saying _reality is messy_ and I say that goes double where ppl are concerned:rolleyes:! Anyhow I don't see point of making like political bicker over just words! I say you need to save your energy for Arduino shaming and _education_ of square wave carrier transmitter builders:eek::p!
