new circuit without power to light bulb

Take a known-working lamp from an existing circuit, and move it to the new circuit. If it doesn't light, plug it back into the existing circuit and make sure that it's still lighting up there.

If it was lit before in the old circuit, doesn't light in the new circuit, but still lights in the old circuit after the test, then call the electrican who installed the new circuit and have him repair it.

Or is this a "do it yourself" thing?
